Wrapping up BW4: Outremer. What's next?

We are delighted to say that customer service has been quiet regarding the shipping of the final physical Fortified Hospitals, wave three. As we are now in November 2023, seven weeks since these final pledges started shipping, we think it is safe to call the BW4 project 'done'. Therefore, we have closed out the pledge manager, and with this action completed the project.
What shall I do if I have an issue?
If there is an issue with your pledge, we encourage you to contact Footsore Miniatures & Games for any reason. These guys carried out the mammoth task of fulfilling this project for us. Therefore, they are the best people to help you. Contact them via email at [email protected]. Please share as much detail as possible, who you are, your order number if you have it and how they can help you. All will be helpful information for them. In the unlikely event they can not solve your issue, they are regularly in contact with both Paul and me, so they can call on us for help if needed.
Can I now buy the Fortified Hospital?!
If you are waiting to buy the Fort, we are currently in discussion to release the physical version of the terrain from this Kickstarter at the beginning of 2024. We are also working towards releasing the STL files onto the Warhost website. Availability of these files should be before the end of 2023.
What's next for The Barons' War?
OUTREMER
Work has started on a significant campaign supplement for Outremer, which we plan to release during the first quarter of 2024. Some of the troop types on our list are as follows:
• Military Order Commanders
• Lazarus foot knights
• Arab Commanders
• Arab mailed with spear & shield
•Arab mailed with bow
• Bedouin Camel riders
• Bedouin Infantry
Paul has already started work sculpting, and we will reveal more soon.
We are also preparing a mini-campaign for Outremer to be released through Footsore Miniatures & Games before the end of 2023. It has a working title, 'Shipwrecked, on the road to Jerusalem', and takes the same format as the previous mini-campaigns. The two character miniatures depicting the main protagonists are currently being painted; when finished, we will share more.
HOBDAY & HICKS
Paul and I have started our own business, which we have called 'Hobday and Hicks'. Our first project is to create a range of traditionally sculpted, white metal, Orcs, and Humans.
We want to start by releasing fifty of each, adding more if it is successful, along with other factions, elves, dwarves, undead, etc. You can follow our progress over in our new Facebook Group: Hobday & Hicks. There will be fantasy faction lists for The Barons' War to accompany the releases.
THE ANARCHY
We have also been working on a supplement for The Anarchy with Benedict Coffin. This project has become bigger than we first anticipated and keeps growing.
A lot of the current work is being invested in defining the product range Footsore Miniatures & Games want to accompany the source book, which has included commissioning new sculpts from Paul.
We will have a release date as soon as we can agree on what finished looks like! We have to say that we are very very happy so far with the progress and we believe it will bring new elements to The Barons' War.
And finally...
Way back in May 2022, we launched BW4: Outremer as a Kickstarter. Thank you for having faith in us to deliver by backing our project. Your help is appreciated as it makes our projects possible. We hope you will join with us over on 'Hobday & Hicks', we have some incredible ideas!

Wave 3 Fortified Hospitals ready for dispatch!

I'm excited to announce that the final Wave of Fortified Hospital from the Outremer Kickstarter are ready and will be with Footsore Miniatures & Games this coming week ready for dispatch!
We've been working hard to get these final models printed, and we're happy to say that they're finally ready to go, ahead of the deadline.

Wrapping up Outremer. What's next?

Hello, we are delighted to say March 2023 has been relatively quiet regarding the shipping of Outremer pledges. Its been two months since Footsore started shipping and four weeks since the last pledge left, so we believe it is safe to say the lion's share of the project is now completed.
The pledge manager will remain open until we have shipped the remaining physical forts in May & September 2023. When this is done, everything will have left, and with the project completed, we will close the pledge manager.
WHAT SHALL I DO IF THERE IS AN ISSUE?

FOOTSORE STOCKING THE OUTREMER RANGE
We think it will come as no surprise that Footsore Miniatures & Games have agreed to add the Outremer figures to The Barons' War range on their website. The plan is to have them available from April/May 2023. Footsore will also be stocking the Outremer supplement book simultaneously, both the PDF and the printed version. If you haven't visited their website before, it can be found here. Whilst you're there, grab yourself some reinforcements.
FORTIFIED HOSPITAL (PHYSICAL TERRAIN) 2 & 3
If you are one of the backers waiting for your physical fort, the next batch will be sent out by the end of May 2023. The third and final batch will be sent out to backers by the end of September 2023. We are constantly monitoring the production progress and will notify relevant backers if these dates change. Currently we are on schedule to hit our targeted dates.
NB: If your pledge included STL files, you would have been provided access back in December 2022 through the www.warhost.online website. If you cannot find access to your files, please get in touch with Andy at [email protected]; he will ensure you have access. Please do this as soon as you can.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR BW, AND HOBDAY & HICKS?
With no BW5 Kickstarter planned for 2023, Andy & Paul are pursuing their solo careers like any good boy band member should. However, discussions are focusing on a potential collaboration later in the year. While you wait, you may also be interested to know there are plans to release their own range of miniatures through a new website in the near future. The Eclectic Emporium of Hobday & Hicks™ is no longer a pipe dream!
Specifically for The Barons' War, there are two new mini-campaigns to be released during 2023 through Footsore Miniatures & Games. The second of these will be set in Outremer and will see a number of new figures released in support.
AND FINALLY...
Back in May 2022, almost twelve months ago, we launched the BW4 Kickstarter taking the setting over the sea to Outremer, and to be honest, we weren't sure if you would follow us there. It is now apparent that we hadn't needed to worry and can only say another huge thank you for having faith in us to deliver by backing our project.
All Outremer Completed Pledges Have Left Footsore Miniatures & Games!

I am delighted to say that all pledges submitted to Footsore Miniatures & Games have been collected by courier or Royal Mail. All backers who completed their pledge have had it dispatched.
With EU orders starting to leave last week, many should have already begun to arrive. If you have not received your pledge, please be patient, as all packages are now in the mailing system.
EU PLEDGES
We want to thank our EU backers for your patience and for giving us the time and space to resolve the delivery issues caused by Royal Mail.
If you backed BW4: Outremer and waiting for your pledge to be delivered to the EU, please let me assure you that every attempt has been made to send it IOSS, which means VAT and duty has been paid. If, however, you encounter an issue with this, don't hesitate to get in touch with Footsore Miniatures & Games using their email address [email protected] with the order number (it will be FSKSXXXX), or your KS email address and we will help to sort things out.

WHAT NEXT FOR HOBDAY & HICKS?
We still have two pledges in the system, completed after the cut-off date, which will now be handed over to Footsore to pick, pack and get them despatched as soon as possible. Once these and the extra Fortified Hospital pledges have been shipped and received by backers, we will close down the Outremer pledge manager.
With BW4: Outremer arriving, we have already been asked when there will be a BW5. I'd be lying if I said Paul and I haven't already been discussing it. However, we have decided to take a break from BW Kickstarters in 2023.
Footsore Miniatures & Games will be supporting The Barons' War this year with two new mini-campaigns underway, one set in Outremer. Paul will be sculpting more figures to accompany both to support the scenarios.
However, that doesn't mean we aren't up to something. We are very excited about what we are currently "cooking up", but more about this once all the Outremer pledges have arrived safely.
